Most pharmacies hand you a standard list of recommended vaccines. We do not. Our pharmacist builds a travel health plan around your specific destination, travel dates, and personal health history. You leave with a clear plan, not a generic printout.
Please note: Cootes Pharmacy is not a registered Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre. Yellow Fever vaccinations and certificates are not available at either branch. If you require a Yellow Fever certificate, please contact your nearest registered centre.

Louise CowanI visited this pharmacy to obtain a medication that is currently in national short supply. They assured me it was in stock with their supplier & would be ordered for next-day delivery and securely stored, but I would need to wait five minutes upon arrival while they prepared it. That was no problem for me, and I even explained that if there were any issues, they should call me, and I’d ask my GP to amend the prescription. A few days later, I went to collect the medication, only to be told they didn’t have it. There was no explanation—just a curt “no, we don’t have it.” I was puzzled and mentioned that the pharmacist had said it would be kept in a safe place. The dispenser then mocked me, saying, “we don’t have it; we know where we keep the meds,” with a sarcastic tone. Still, no explanation was given about what had happened. Eventually, the pharmacist said they could order it since it was in stock, and I could collect it the next day. They promised to call me when it arrived. Which they did and all was ok. The experience was disorganised and unnecessarily rude. There was no need for the sarcasm; a polite explanation and a clear solution would have sufficed. I mentioned this to a local friend who shared similar sentiments and now chooses to walk five minutes further to another pharmacy to avoid dealing with this one.
